Dream - Losing a child forever will be the deepest sadness for parents. How not, a child who is cared for wholeheartedly must first return to the presence of Allah SWT, leaving both parents to navigate life in this world. However, everyone must remember that life in this world belongs solely to Allah SWT and is not eternal. Death can come at any time regardless of a person's age. In addition to surrendering to fate, we try to calm our days by sending prayers for the baby who passed away.
Parents, especially a mother, will surely feel their hearts shattered when they lose their baby who is still an infant or has not yet been born into this world. Here is a prayer for a baby who has passed away as compiled by Dream from various sources.
In a book called Sahih al-Bukhari, there is a prayer that can be recited by parents when they lose their child, such as a miscarriage.
The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "This prayer is not the saying of the Prophet, but the atsar (narration) of al-Hasan al-Bashri rahimahullah. Imam al-Hasan said: 'For a deceased child, recite Surah Al-Fatihah and pray, 'O Allah, make this child a treasure, a leader, and a reward for us.' (Sahih al-Bukhari, Imam al-Bukhari, 1/448)For parents whose child has passed away, whether in the womb or in the world, here is a prayer for a deceased baby: اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لَنَا فَرَطًا وَسَلَفًا وَأَجْرًا."
"Allāhumma-j'alhu lanā farathan wa salafan wa ajran. Artinya: 'O Allah, make this child a treasure, a predecessor, and a reward for us.' Meanwhile, the longer prayer is as follows:
"Allahumma make this child's death a blessing, a treasure for his parents, and a reward. O Allah, make his weight heavy on the scales of his parents' good deeds, and make him a source of great rewards for them. O Allah, include him in the care of Ibrahim, and join him with the righteous believers. O Allah, reward him with Your mercy and protect him from the punishment of Hell. O Allah, replace his home with a better home, and replace his family with a better family. O Allah, forgive our past and future sins, and those who preceded us in faith."
"O Allah, make the scales of their good deeds heavy, multiply their rewards. O Allah, make this child among the guardianship of Prophet Ibrahim, gather them with the righteous and faithful predecessors, and protect them with Your mercy from the torment of Hellfire. Give them a better home than their worldly home, give their family a better place in paradise than their family in the world. O Allah, forgive our predecessors, our children, and those who preceded us in faith."
According to the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah, a young child who dies before reaching puberty, immediately enters paradise.
The following text is a translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any HTML tags: "That is the glory of Allah SWT for the Islam of their fathers. It is a mercy from Allah SWT that is very vast in various aspects. Even though they die at a young age, in heaven, the residents will have the same age, around 30-33 years old. This is explained in the following hadith: "The inhabitants of heaven will enter heaven in a state of being hairless, beardless, with kohl, at the age of 30 or 33 years." (HR. Ahmad, At-Tirmidzi)"
"So, whoever dies, whether they are children, teenagers, or elderly, all of them will later be in heaven at the same age. Moreover, they will also be acquainted with relatives, family members, and be a father to their children, or a husband to their wife and vice versa."
