Profile Maruli Simanjuntak

Quoting from Merdeka.com, Maruli Simanjuntak was born in Bandung on February 24, 1970, to parents D. Simanjuntak (father) and T. Silalahi (mother). He is a graduate of the Military Academy in 1992, with a brilliant experience in the Kopassus Infantry Division and Cakra Combat Detachment.

Since graduating from Akmil, Maruli began his career in 2002 as the Commander of Cakra Combat Detachment. In 2008, Maruli filled the position of Commander of Battalion (Danyon) 21 Group 2/Sandhi Yudha until 2009. One year later, he was promoted to become the Commander of the Special Forces Command Center School (Pusdikpassus). In 2013, he became the Deputy Commander of Group 1/Para Commando. He then became the Commander of Group 2/Sandi Yudha until 2014.
