Dream - After getting married, it is not uncommon for young couples to still live together with their parents or in-laws. In such situations, they certainly have to share living space with their brothers or sisters-in-law. However, it is important to remember that this requires caution, as there are individuals who are actually non-mahram living together in the house.

Therefore, even though living together with family members from the husband's or wife's side, it is still important to always pay attention to manners and etiquette in interacting, in accordance with the teachings of Islam that respect those boundaries.

This means that the interaction between a husband and his wife's biological sister, or between a wife and her husband's biological brother, must be maintained with strict Islamic ethical principles. They should not be treated as mahram, because in-laws are not mahram for a wife or husband.

"Avoiding Khalwat"

In the context of living together, where a husband and wife live with the family of one side, it is important to understand that the possibility of khalwat or being alone between the husband or wife with their in-laws is very high. Khalwat, or a situation where a man and a woman who are not mahram are alone in circumstances that allow for forbidden acts, is a serious violation of Islamic teachings.

Therefore, awareness of the dangers of khalwat (seclusion) and the importance of maintaining the boundaries set by religion should always be a concern in situations where husbands and wives live together with their extended families.

However, considering the message of the Prophet Muhammad SAW above, it is better for married couples not to live together with in-laws.
