However, it is advisable to be careful in choosing a company when applying for a job to avoid disasters like what happened to user X named Dewi Rahmawati. Through the account @deeewrahmawati, Dewi tells the heartbreaking incident she experienced when applying for a job at a company.

According to Dewi, her personal data in the job application letter was misused by an HRD person in the company where she applied for a job. The story began when Dewi applied for a job at a PT located in the Bogor area in February 2024.

Instead of getting a job offer, Dewi's data in her job application letter was used to open an account in one of the banks by an HRD person. Everything was exposed when she opened the Wondr by BNI application and checked for online loan transaction history (pinjol). And the amount of the pinjol transaction is not small. According to Dewi, the nominal pinjol in the application reached Rp10 million.

Created an Account Without Permission

"Be careful guys, my data was misused by the HRD of the company I applied for. They created an account @BNI with a transaction history of borrowing Rp10 million from online lending services, and I just found out today because I just opened the wondr app," he wrote in X.

Dewi admitted that when checking her BNI account under her name that was 'stuck' in the Wondr application, there was a remaining ATM balance of Rp21,680. When she clicked on the balance information, it turned out there was a history of transaction usage and cash withdrawal.

"Suspicious Transaction"

The suspicious transaction and cash withdrawals history have been carried out since early 2024. Strangely, almost all of these financial transactions were transferred to fintech applications or top-ups with values above Rp1,000,000. The last observed suspicious financial transaction was conducted in June 2024.

"When I found out that there was a transaction at the ATM that I myself didn't know who registered it, Dewi immediately checked the call or token history. However, Dewi didn't find any number or perpetrator's name there. Everything was empty, there was never any call or token transaction. 'I immediately blocked the ATM through Wondr on my phone and I immediately called @BNI customer service at 3 am,' she said. 'And the CS's response was not very clear, so I was told to go to the nearest branch office for further clarification,' she added."

Dewi was directed to a bank teller who said that on March 14th, a company had submitted their data to create an ATM. This surprised Dewi because such a large state-owned bank could initiate the account creation process without her knowledge and signature.

However, the bank argues that this can only happen if the ATM applicant is a trusted company.

"All the evidence I explained and the teller helped to find out who registered the ATM on my behalf." Throughout my communication with the teller, I said, 'Is it really that easy to create an ATM that can be linked to BNI ACC?' and the teller said, 'It is possible if a trusted company requests it,' " he explained.

"Not a Bank, But HRD Person"

Dewi was then asked to go home and the bank immediately conducted an investigation on this strange case. Due to the need for investigation and evidence collection, the teller said they would contact Dewi.

However, it was not the bank, but rather an HRD person who contacted Dewi. The HRD person requested to meet and apologize.

"He spoke to meet me and will be given 'allowance' if this case becomes a family matter. The HRD wants to come to my house bringing a card and savings in my name," he continued."

Funny, the HRD stated that there was a misunderstanding and revealed that it was just a regular transaction, not a loan service. Nevertheless, Dewi still reported the incident to the police. She is still waiting for further investigation results from the bank regarding the misuse of her identity.
