The bodies of both were found by Tuti's husband, Yosep, in the trunk of a Toyota Alphard parked in the victim's garage. The investigation into this murder case in Subang has been quite lengthy. Yosep Hidayah made a statement when the bodies of his wife and child were first discovered. At that time, Yosep felt suspicious when he entered the area of his home located in the Cagak Road District, Subang Regency, West Java.

"When providing information to the media, Yosep also conveyed the scenario that had been prepared earlier. Initially, he felt suspicious of the vehicle that turned around in the parking lot of Tuti Suhartini's house. Yosep also admitted to finding bloodstains on the floor and decided to report the incident to the authorities."

The police have conducted the crime scene investigation five times, performed autopsies twice, examined 121 witnesses, and collected 261 pieces of evidence. This case only found a breakthrough in November 2023 when the suspect Danu surrendered. After examining and naming Danu as a suspect, the police identified four other suspects, including Yosep, Mimin, Arighi, and Abi.
