"Dream - A pair of parents from Belige, North Sumatra sit in the lecture hall of the Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Gadjah Mada University (UGM). They are present to replace their child who has passed away. Their beloved child, Marchia R.M Hutabarat, was registered as a new student in the undergraduate Management program of the 2024 cohort. However, before she could experience the hustle and bustle of college life, Marchia passed away on June 17. The presence of Sebastian Hutabarat along with his wife, Imelda Tiurniari Napitupulu, and their eldest daughter Nada, draws attention."

"I imagine Marchia is here sitting in the middle of you," said Sebastian while sobbing, as reported by the official UGM website, Monday, August 19, 2024. For Sebastian, Marchia is a smart and accomplished child. Always being the class champion allowed Marchia to be accepted into UGM through the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) pathway. Marchia is also seen as an enthusiastic child with a strong determination to achieve her dreams, including studying at UGM."

He never expected to part ways so soon with his daughter. Sebastian felt a profound loss because he felt he had not been able to accompany every moment in his daughter's life. “At that time, I received a call from my wife. She started by saying not to be shocked, Marchia has passed away. Instantly, my feelings were tumultuous because I was far away in Balige, while Marchia was in Yogyakarta,” he said. Marchia's mother, Imelda, also could not contain her sadness as she recounted the chronology of leaving her beloved child. Since June 2024, she and Marchia had been in Yogyakarta to prepare for all the college necessities.

"Since they were already in Yogyakarta and at the same time celebrating the success of her daughter getting into UGM, Imelda invited her child to go on a trip. She took her to Nepal Van Java Magelang. At that time, everything seemed fine and went according to plan. However, suddenly Marchia complained about something in her body that made her faint while at the inn. "When we arrived at the inn, Marchia said she was going to take a shower. After more than 30 minutes, when she didn't come out, I knocked on the door and got no response, so I finally opened the door, and Marchia was already in a fainted condition," she explained."

"Initially, Imelda thought her daughter was just joking. However, when she was awakened, the girl did not respond. After realizing the emergency situation, the father immediately provided first aid and rushed to take his daughter to the nearest health facility, which was 15 kilometers away from the accommodation. "At that time, the closest was the community health center, and it was quiet because of the Idul Adha holiday. When we arrived there, I already felt that Marchia was gone, and it turned out to be true," he revealed."
