Dream - The Night of Nisfu Syaban holds special significance for Muslims. In this moment, every Muslim should spend their time in abundant worship to Allah SWT. There are various recommended practices to be performed on the Night of Nisfu Syaban. By doing so, there are many rewards that friends of Dream can obtain. However, it is also important to note that the practices of the Night of Nisfu Syaban differ according to the four schools of thought.

Warning and practices on the night of Nisfu Syaban originated from the traditions and teachings of Prophet Muhammad. On this night, Muslims are encouraged to perform worship, such as night prayer, supplication, charity, and increasing remembrance of Allah. Some scholars believe that on the night of Nisfu Syaban, Allah SWT determines the fate of human beings for the next year. In a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, Prophet Muhammad said: "

"On the night of Nisfu Syaban, Allah SWT will grant forgiveness to all His servants except for those who associate partners with Him, those who disobey their parents, those who sever family ties, and those who harbor envy." This hadith serves as a basis for Muslims to increase their good deeds on the night of Nisfu Syaban. In addition, there are other evidences that indicate the importance of performing good deeds on the night of Nisfu Sya'ban."

"Like the hadith narrated by Abu Dawud which mentions that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to fast during the month of Sha'ban, except for a small portion. From here, the tradition of observing and practicing on the night of Nisfu Sha'ban originated and continues to be passed down in the lives of Muslims."

Sa'id bin Jubair was one of the prominent students of Abdullah bin Abbas, one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Sa'id bin Jubair was known for practicing the tradition of observing the night of Nisfu Syaban with worship and prayers. Sa'id bin Jubair's contribution in introducing the tradition of observing the night of Nisfu Sya'ban had a significant influence on the society at that time, and this was later followed by other scholars.

The criteria that make Sa'id bin Jubair recognized as a pioneer in this tradition are his exemplary behavior and influence as a respected scholar of the tabiin who is followed by many people. Thus, Sa'id bin Jubair and other tabiin scholars who revived the Night of Nisfu Sya'ban managed to instill this practice in society. As a result, it has become part of a religious tradition that is preserved and celebrated to this day.

The Hanafi and Maliki schools consider fasting Nisfu Syaban to be a recommended practice. Meanwhile, the Shafi'i school believes that fasting on that day is highly recommended. However, the Hanbali school dislikes fasting Nisfu Syaban because, according to their interpretation, there is no clear evidence indicating the virtue of fasting on that day.

Apart from fasting, other recommended practices to be performed on the night of Nisfu Syaban (Mid-Sha'ban) are performing voluntary prayers (sholat sunah) and engaging in remembrance of Allah. The Prophet also encouraged reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Nas three times each on the night of Nisfu Syaban. In practice, Muslims can choose to engage in these practices according to the views of the school of thought they follow, while also considering the intention and sincerity in performing them.

One important practice is fasting in the month of Syaban, which is one of the sunnahs of Prophet Muhammad. In a hadith narrated by Abu Dawud, it is mentioned: "The Prophet saw never fasted for a whole month other than Ramadan, and he never fasted more in any other month than in Syaban." Several special qualities of the month of Syaban are also revealed in a hadith narrated by Tirmidzi, which states that in this month, the deeds of people are raised to the heavens.
