Researchers believe that this artifact forms a depiction of the night sky map. The castle in Rupinpiccolo is believed to have served as a fortress between 1800/1650 BC and 400 BC. Although the age of the stone cannot be determined with certainty, it is highly likely that the stone discs originate from a specific period, indicating an age of at least 2,400 years. The stone discs show clear signs of carving made by human hands and do not appear to be randomly scattered, as reported by the researchers.
