Quoting from Kebumen24.com, both of them were heading from the east trying to avoid a billboard featuring a candidate for the Indonesian Parliament (DPR RI) from one of the political parties in Electoral District 7, which collapsed instantly due to strong winds. Unfortunately, the two female students were hit by a vehicle coming from behind them.

The news went viral on social media, one of them was uploaded by the Instagram account @sonnyjohnbmc. The video shows the congested condition of the road after an accident occurred. Meanwhile, on the side of the road, there is a female student still wearing a grayish white uniform, seen crying and having an injury on her arm. Many netizens are praying for Sintiya's departure in the comments section of the post.
