According to a study by the team from Korea National University of Education, wearing heavy makeup such as foundation while exercising can potentially cause skin problems such as clogged pores due to sweat accumulation. Therefore, it is recommended to choose lighter makeup or oil-free products to maintain skin health during exercise.

Makeup can clog pores and cause increased dryness on the skin. It is recommended to remove makeup before sleeping because it can mix with oil and dead skin cells, clogging pores and promoting acne formation. The same applies when we wear makeup while exercising. This recent study also shows that wearing makeup while exercising can make the skin even drier.

After exercising, clean the skin (face and body) to remove excess oil, sweat, bacteria, and residual products that can cause acne or folliculitis.
