Dream - PT Bank BTPN Tbk (Bank BTPN) officially becomes a custodian bank after obtaining approval from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). With its status, Bank BTPN provides custodian services for Institutional and Individual Investors, both local and foreign.
The OJK approval refers to the OJK Banking Supervisor Approval Letter No. S-71/PB.311/2024 dated January 21, 2024 regarding the Approval of Custodial Activity Implementation and the OJK Commissioner Board Decision No. KEP-31/PM.02/2024 regarding the Approval of General Banks as Custodians on behalf of PT Bank BTPN Tbk, which was determined in Jakarta on May 7, 2024.
"Head of Wholesale Banking Group Bank BTPN, Nathan Christianto, said that Bank BTPN is committed as a public bank whose company shares are listed on the stock exchange, to increase the number of investors in the Indonesian capital market. 'By collaborating with investment players and managers by utilizing the products and services that have been available at Bank BTPN, including Custodian services,' said Nathan in his statement on Wednesday, May 22, 2024."
As a custodian bank, Bank BTPN will carry out transactions related to securities (such as stocks, bonds, and units of Collective Investment Contract Mutual Funds) and represent the account holders who are its customers.
"With the approval of becoming a custodian bank, Bank BTPN is now able to serve as a custodian securities account opening, securities storage, transaction settlement, corporate actions, financial administration, and reporting."
"We will also synergize comprehensive and innovative financial services in the Bank BTPN ecosystem to provide more flexibility for investors in determining their investment objectives,".

In addition, Bank BTPN also plans to offer custodian services for foreign investors through the SMBC network, which is expected to support sustainable growth in the Indonesian capital market.
Nathan added that as the pioneer of digital banking in Indonesia through Jenius, the latest custodian service from Bank BTPN, it will also be able to utilize Jenius' digital capabilities as life finance solutions from Bank BTPN. One of them is by collaborating with Mutual Fund and Government Bond Agents.
