Dream - A woman in China chose to quit her job after being overwhelmed by her work that involved 600 group chats. She is Tang Ying, a designer at a real estate company in Beijing. Although not entirely because of the numerous group chats, Tang found it difficult to find motivation in her work. Despite earning a monthly salary of 20,000 yuan (Rp44 million) to 30,000 yuan (Rp66 million).
Tang is responsible for overseeing the interior design of several commercial properties and managing multiple shopping centers. The work pressure has an impact on his health and well-being.
When a new store is opened, a WeChat group is created. Usually consists of mall staff members, property management and fire protection officers, AC technicians, store owners, and decoration workers.
The challenge of deciding to resign is not as easy as one might think. Tang Ying had to spend up to three and a half hours to leave 600 groups on the WeChat platform.
When still working, he was constantly bombarded with notifications from WeChat groups related to work. Tang said that he felt like a robot, unable to have thoughts and understand his own feelings.
According to China Daily, Thursday, October 25, 2024.
Feeling tired and bored, Tang decided to quit working and return to his hometown in Sichuan. He said his grandparents welcomed him with open arms. Tang enjoyed the simple pleasure of homemade food made from fresh ingredients in the village, which is located 30 kilometers away from Nanchong City.
Tang also decided to start a business by selling homemade sausages and preserved meat online.
