Dream - The storm of layoffs (PHK) has not yet ended in the technology industry. TikTok's management has become the latest global company to decide to lay off its employees. According to NPR's report, employees on this short video sharing platform said that the decision to lay off was made to reduce costs. A company spokesperson said that there are about 60 employees, mostly in the sales and advertising division, who will be affected by this downsizing measure.

Those who were laid off include workers in Los Angeles, New York, Austin, and overseas.
The company has scheduled a townhall meeting to be held on Tuesday after the layoff announcement is made.
TikTok is one of the most popular applications in the United States (US) and has approximately 7,000 employees in the country. Its parent company, China-based technology giant ByteDance, has over 150,000 workers spread across the world. Despite TikTok's relationship with ByteDance, which has attracted the attention of officials in Washington over national security concerns for years, its growth has been significant.
