Dream - Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Regional (JBB) collaborates with PT Indo Raya Tenaga (IRT) to supply non-subsidized B35 Diesel Fuel (BBM Solar) in supporting the operational development of the Steam Power Plant (PLTU) in Suralaya, Cilegon, Banten. This power plant is one of the largest PLTU development projects in Indonesia.
The signing of the Non-Subsidized Fuel Procurement Contract was carried out by Pertamina Patra Niaga's Executive GM for Regional JBB, Deny Djukardi, and PT Indo Raya Tenaga's Business Director, Jonny Karli, on Monday, January 8, 2024.
Director of Marketing at Pertamina Patra Niaga, Maya Kusmaya, expressed pride that the company could become an energy solutions provider for the PLTU project. Furthermore, Maya hopes that both companies can explore cooperation for a carbon offset scheme. "Pertamina Patra Niaga is also committed to becoming a decarbonization partner for our partners through the natural-based solutions owned by the Pertamina Group," she said.
Executive GM Regional JBB Deny Djukardi said, the construction of the power plant in Suralaya will eventually become one of the power plants with the largest capacity, namely 2 x 1000 MW.
At this power plant construction site, there are two storage tanks with a capacity of 750 Kiloliters (KL) that will be supplied by Pertamina. Deny explained that the fuel needs for this power plant construction amount to 33 million liters or 2 million liters per month for the next 1.5 years. Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that Bio-solar B35, which is a blend of 35 percent palm oil and 65 percent diesel, is one of Pertamina's best products to support this power plant construction.
add Deny.
Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR of Pertamina Regional West Java, Eko Kristiawan, stated that the collaboration with PT IRT is also in line with Pertamina's program, namely Pertamina One Stop Solution. Moreover, the construction of this power plant is also a National Strategic Project in which Pertamina Patra Niaga will fully commit to the quality of products, the supply process, and distribution to the supply point.
