"Dream – Erick Thohir stated that the merger process of PT Angkasa Pura I and PT Angkasa Pura II by PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia or InJourney has been completed."
"Now, the merger of the state-owned airport managers has transformed into PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia or InJourney Airports. “Alhamdulillah, the long process has come to an end, our efforts to strengthen airport management have successfully materialized,” said Erick, quoted from Liputan6.com, Friday, December 29, 2023."
According to the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, the presence of InJourney Airports and PT Integrasi Aviasi Solusi or InJourney Aviation Services (IAS) as a subholding of InJourney Group is a major breakthrough in the aviation and airport industry. Erick stated that this merger is an adaptive form of SOEs in facing the changing times. “With this transformation, we hope that airport management can be more integrated and efficient,” said Erick.
"The transformation of airport management, added Erick, is a necessity in optimizing the potential of Indonesia's economic, tourism, and logistics sectors."
“Most importantly, this integration must be able to improve service quality through the standardization of operating systems and the same policies,” said Erick. The merger of airport operators was marked by a celebration attended by Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, and President Director of InJourney Dony Oskaria, in Jakarta, Thursday, December 28, 2023.
The formation of InJourney Airports is expected to make the airports managed by the InJourney Group healthier and more profitable. InJourney Airports will enhance services, transform business strategies, and strengthen operational quality in order to make the airports the face of the nation.
“
With the presence of InJourney Airports, it will enhance hospitality towards passengers by providing a more memorable experience for airport service users, such as more attractive fit-outs, higher quality tenant mixing, and pampering service users with heartfelt service,” said Dony Oskaria. InJourney Airports will handle a total of 172 million passengers per year and will rank as the 5th largest airport operator company in the world, surpassing Vinci Airports (France) and GMR Group (India).
”"In the coming years, InJourney Airports will become the 3rd largest airport management company in the world."
“By organizing and strengthening the business group portfolio into InJourney Airports, all efforts of the Ministry of Transportation to provide standardized airport and air transportation services that are reliable and competitive will be easier and quicker to realize,” Budi Karya Sumadi.
