Dream - Commissioner of PT Mandiri Utama Finance (MUF), a subsidiary of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, Erida Gunawan, is one of the inspirational figures who received an award at the Influential Women Appreciation 2023 event organized by Dream.co.id and Diadona.id.

Erida was awarded the category of Influencing Female in the Financing Sector. This appreciation was directly given by the Expert Staff of the Minister for Communication and Mass Media, Widodo Miktiyo, at the Aryaduta Menteng Hotel, Jakarta, on Monday, August 28, 2023.

Erida began serving as Commissioner of PT Mandiri Utama Finance since 2015. This female graduate of Trisakti University has obtained an assessment of her abilities and suitability from OJK with the number: KEP-305/NB.11/2015.

"Certainly, events like this remind us women that women actually have their own nature. But in order to become an influential woman, we must not only serve our own rights but also serve the rights of others. So we become a figure of a leader and hopefully events like this also inspire women in our community," expressed Erida when receiving the award."

Career since 1990, according to Erida, the presence of women in the finance industry is to become a balance and complement to men. As a Commissioner, she also assesses that the competition in the finance industry itself is quite tight. How a company can be good depends on discipline, excellent appreciation, and prioritizing superior strategies. Likewise with technological excellence.

"With the progress of time, equality between men and women has become something that has already gained considerable awareness in society. So, I feel that I have not encountered any discrimination in my work."

Erida is very impressed with the Indonesian female figure, R.A Kartini. In the past, which was still very backward, R.A Kartini was able to provide great inspiration. "What might be very impressed for Indonesia is the figure who fought for the idea that women can be equal to men," she said.

As a female worker, Erida admits that women do indeed face bigger challenges compared to men. Because in addition to their job at the office, women also have to serve their families. She highly appreciates women who can handle both. "Indeed, if I were to say, the workload becomes double, I mean the shifts are doubled, so a woman's duties are indeed greater due to their nature. If a woman can fulfill her duties to the best of her ability, that's extraordinary. Although I am still learning," she explained.

Before joining Mandiri Utama Finance, Erida Gunawan started her career at PT Sarana Perdana Engneering & Group C0 in 1990, then at PT Jaya Real Property Tbk from 2001 to 2011, and at PT Adira Dinamika Multi Finance Tbk with her last position as Chief Operating Officer. In 2011, she also worked at PT Triputra Investindo Arya as Director & Chief Financial Officer, and in 2012 she worked at PT Triputra Agro Persada as Director & Chief Financial Officer.
