Director of Mirae Asset, Tomi Taufan, stated that the percentage of active investors at Mirae Asset has surpassed 35 percent, or above the industry average of around 20 percent of total stock investors and 9% of the total number of capital market investors (stocks, bonds, and mutual funds).
The Indonesia Stock Exchange data shows that the number of active stock investors as of May 2024 reached 1.142 million people, the total number of stock investors is 5.72 million people, and the number of capital market investors is 12.936 million people.
"By the end of last year, the number of Mirae Asset customers reached around 300 thousand people, including approximately 30 thousand mutual fund investors related to the license held by the company as a Mutual Fund Selling Agent (APERD)."
Tomi said that the launch of the mobile application M-STOCK marks a new era in stock trading due to its user-friendly nature, which can reach and increase the number of stock investors and traders.
