"Dream - National Food Body (Bapanas) officially raises the Maximum Retail Price (HET) for medium and premium rice. This increase is stated in the Regulation of the National Food Body (Perbadan) in order to maintain reasonable prices at the consumer level."
The text in Bahasa: "kata Kepala Bapanas, Arief Prasetyo Adi dikutip dari Merdeka.com." Translation in English: "words from the Head of Bapanas, Arief Prasetyo Adi quoted from Merdeka.com."
Arief expressed that the establishment of this rice HET regulation strengthens the relaxation policy that has been implemented through the previous decision of the Head of Bapanas.
Arief emphasizes that the adjustment of rice's HET (maximum retail price) is inseparable from efforts to stabilize the supply and price of rice, where policies upstream are also aligned with downstream.
Arief mentioned in the Perbadan, the government-set price for rice in the regions of Java, Lampung, and South Sumatra. The government-set price for medium-grade rice is Rp12,500 per kilogram (kg), and the government-set price for premium-grade rice is Rp14,900 per kg.
The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any HTML tags: "Regions in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Bengkulu, Riau, Riau Islands, Jambi, and Bangka Belitung Islands, the price of medium-grade rice is set at Rp13,100 per kg, while the price of premium-grade rice is set at Rp15,400 per kg."
For the Bali and West Nusa Tenggara regions, the medium rice HET is Rp12,500 per kg and the premium rice HET is Rp14,900 per kg. For the East Nusa Tenggara region, the medium rice HET is Rp13,100 per kg and the premium rice HET is Rp15,400 per kg.
Next, for the Sulawesi region, the price of medium rice is Rp12,500 per kg and the price of premium rice is Rp14,900 per kg. For the Kalimantan region, the price of medium rice is Rp13,100 per kg and the price of premium rice is Rp15,400 per kg. For the Maluku region, the price of medium rice is Rp13,500 per kg and the price of premium rice is Rp15,800 per kg. Lastly, for the Papua region, the price of medium rice is Rp13,500 per kg and the price of premium rice is Rp15,800 per kg.
Arief acknowledged that the determination process of this rice's HET has undergone various dynamics, discussions, and input from various stakeholders in the rice sector. "This rice's HET did not emerge instantly, but went through a lengthy discussion process involving farmer organizations, milling, ministries, and related institutions. We analyzed it together, considering various aspects, including its impact on inflation," added Arief.
