"I was often told to clean the toilet while at school," he said while giving a speech in front of Stanford University graduates. At the age of 15, he worked as a dishwasher at Denny's restaurant. After graduating from high school, Jensen Huang continued his studies at Oregon State University because of its affordable tuition fees. After graduating from college, Huang worked at a chip company. He also pursued further education and obtained a master's degree at Stanford for over eight years.

Then in 1993, Huang and his two colleagues, Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem, met at Denny's restaurant in South Buy. The three of them sketched out a plan to start their own company. With strong determination, they established Nvidia with a capital of USD 40,000. Nvidia then went public in 1999. They first created computer graphics chips and achieved great success from it.
