Dream - There is a secret place on the plane that is used by pilots and cabin crew to rest during long flights. This place cannot be accessed by passengers.
According to the CNN website, this place is called Crew Rest Compartments and its location varies on each aircraft. On newer aircraft, such as Boeing 787 or Airbus A350, this compartment is located above the main cabin, in the upper part of the aircraft body.
However, on older aircraft, this resting place can also be located in the cargo hold or in the main cabin.
Resting places are usually provided for pilots, who are usually located above the cockpit. This area consists of two beds.
Then there is one more for the cabin crew. Besides above the cabin, this place can be located above the galley, at the back of the aircraft where food and drinks are prepared and stored. Usually consists of six or more beds.
Airlines have the right to determine the configuration of cabin crew rest areas when they purchase an aircraft. However, the main parameters are set by regulators such as the Federal Aviation Administration.
The regulation mandates that the aircraft crew rest area must be located in a place that does not cause noise, odor, and disturbing vibrations. The area must also have controlled temperature and allow the crew to adjust the lighting.
The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "The bed or any other flat sleeping surface should measure 78 by 30 inches (198 by 76 centimeters). For tall crew members, it should have at least 35 cubic feet, or one cubic meter, of space around it. The place should also have a communal area for changing clothes, entering and exiting, which provides at least 65 cubic feet of space."
The final result, this resting area is called similar to Japanese capsule hotels. With windowless, narrow but comfortable sleeping space. There are power outlets and lights, as well as all necessary safety equipment such as oxygen masks, seatbelt lights, and intercom.
