"Dream - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, speaks about the resignation of the Head and Deputy Head of the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (IKN) Authority from their positions."
According to him, resignation is a common thing, moreover, if there are tasks that cannot be achieved faster.
"He usually retreats, if he feels unable to carry out his duties, he retreats,""
He said, quoted from Merdeka.com, Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
Luhut then revealed that the Head of IKN Authority must be brave in making decisions because they have very broad authority.
"All of that, the Head of OIKN has extensive authority to solve problems, it's just a matter of courage to make decisions."
Luhut said.
Luhut also denied that the resignation of the Head and Deputy Head of OIKN previously was due to land issues in IKN. "That's not true. I have already led the meeting for land clearance, it just needs to be executed. If the execution cannot be done, then what can we do," he said.
The resignation, according to Luhut, is not related to the IKN target issue and he is optimistic that there will be more investments coming into the IKN. "Not really, the target is still okay even though it may be lacking here and there, but overall it is still good. There is no impact, maybe there will be more coming in (investments)," said Luhut.
The development of IKN itself at this time, said Luhut, is quite good and fine. "Quite good, I think it's fine," he said.
As information, the government announced the resignation of the Head of IKN Authority, Bambang Susantono, and the Deputy Head of IKN Authority, Dhony Rahajoe. Following this matter, the Presidential Decree (Keppres) has been issued, appointing the Minister of Public Works and Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono, as the Acting Head of IKN Authority, and the Deputy Minister of ATR, Raja Juli Antoni, as the Acting Deputy Head of IKN Authority.
