Dream - Karen's Diner restaurant in South Jakarta went viral because of its unique concept. This restaurant has a grumpy service. Its staff is also known for frequently getting angry at customers. After a long absence, it turns out that Karen's Diner restaurant in South Jakarta has now closed as of November 2023.
"Restaurant Closed"
This news went viral after being known from the posts of X social media users (formerly Twitter) who mentioned that Karen's Diner is no longer in operation.
This restaurant was previously located on the second floor of a building on Jalan Panglima Polim IX, Kebayoran Baru. Former employee of Karen's Diner in South Jakarta also confirmed that the place where they used to work has indeed closed.
In the upload of TikTok account @bebedwina, a woman named Bedwina Baptista said that Karen's Diner's contract in Jakarta for six months has expired.
"Karen's Diner is no longer available in Jakarta, because Karen's Diner in Jakarta was only a collaboration for 6 months. After that, it's finished,""
kata Bedwina Baptista.
The collaboration is only temporary, which caused the Australian restaurant to close. "So it's only for seasonal purposes. Not for a long-term or lifetime presence in Indonesia," he explained.
"Bedwina also informed that she no longer works at Karen's Diner since last September. 'I have resigned since September,' she said."
Not only Bedwina, but other friends have also stopped working at Karen's Diner, including those who were famous when they were waiters at the restaurant. As for Karen's Diner, it is still open in Bali.
"Because of that, it is only needed temporarily, not a restaurant necessity. This is only Karen's need," she said. "So now Karen's Diner is only available in Bali," she added.
