Dream - The Governor of South Sulawesi, Bahtiar Baharuddin, issued a surprising statement. He mentioned that South Sulawesi is on the brink of bankruptcy. "We have a deficit of Rp1.5 trillion, Sulsel is bankrupt," said Bahtiar, quoted from Sulselsatu.com, Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Bahtiar delivered the statement at the plenary meeting for the explanation of the Regional Budget Draft for the year 2024, at the South Sulawesi Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

According to him, South Sulawesi experienced a budget deficit because the previous governor made a mistake in planning. There are programs but no budget.
