"Dream - The famous Hollywood singer, Taylor Swift, has been crowned as the most successful businesswoman of 2023 by the American media, CNN. Taylor Swift is considered not to need to manage a giant company or lead a central bank to have a significant economic power this year. CNN assesses that Taylor Swift is not just active as a singer during 2023. She is seen as playing the role of a businesswoman. The indication can be seen from the "Eras" concert tour, whose ticket sales sold out in various stadiums around the world."

"Pollstar also estimates that the first 60 concerts of the tour have grossed over US$1 billion, approximately Rp15.4 trillion. An analysis shared exclusively with CNN earlier this year projected that Swift's concerts in North America alone could generate revenue of over US$2 billion (around Rp30 trillion), making it the highest-grossing tour ever."

"Swift is also regarded as achieving extraordinary accomplishments that will impress business leaders running Fortune 500 companies. "Taylor Swift's concert is assessed like a ball of economic activity that circulates, crossing major cities in America. Hotel rooms in the city hosting the concert fill up quickly. Additionally, retailers say they receive a boost from concertgoers looking for outfits that match the tour theme."

A Federal Reserve report even noted how the tour boosted hotel revenue in Philadelphia, according to one of the businesses in the survey. Swift was also assessed to have business acumen by leveraging that fervent fan enthusiasm to drive even more sales.

"Fans have been queuing for hours even before the venue opens because merchandise is prepared in different areas and they want to get the first chance to buy. Even if only a quarter of them buy something, it is already enough to generate at least one million dollars overnight," said Shaomian from the University of South Carolina.

In addition, CNN also highlighted the film from her concert tour "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" which broke box office records during its opening weekend. The film was released in mid-October 2023 and grossed US$96 million (Rp1.4 trillion) during its opening weekend in the US and Canada, according to the AMC cinema network.  "It took less than 24 hours for the Taylor Swift concert film The Eras Tour to break AMC's record in the US  for the highest ticket sales revenue in one day in AMC's 103-year history," said AMC at the time.
