"Dream - The Saudi Arabian Hajj Organizing Officials (PPIH) have started weighing the luggage of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims who will be returning home for the first time to the homeland after the peak of Hajj in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna). Head of the Arrival and Departure Section of the Mecca Work Area, Yusuf Prasetyo, revealed that there are six groups of pilgrims (kloter) whose luggage weighing process is prioritized. The six groups are SOC 01, SOC 02, SOC 03, BDJ 01, UPG 01, and SOC 05."
"These six groups will be sent back to the homeland earliest after the peak of Hajj. To avoid rushing, we will conduct the weighing process earlier," said Yusuf Prasetyo, Friday, June 14, 2024. One of the groups that started to be weighed is SOC 01 from the Solo embarkation. This group has been in the Holy Land since May 12, 2024."
They are planned to return to the Homeland on June 22 after the wukuf in Arafah. The Head of SOC 01 Group, Munsiri, said that they continue to provide socialization so that the luggage carried by the pilgrims does not exceed the maximum limit. "The maximum limit is 32 kilograms. Insha Allah, everything is safe, there is nothing more," said Munsiri.
Apart from not exceeding the load, Munsiri also urges the pilgrims not to bring Zamzam water into their bags. According to him, this action will be subject to a fine penalty. The group, consisting of 360 people, is scheduled to arrive in Solo on Sunday, June 23, 2023, in the early morning. "Previously, tomorrow we will go to Arafah first. Then on Saturday, we will perform the wukuf. Next, we will go to Muzdalifah and Mina," he said. A pilgrim, Sumiarsih (62), admitted that she had to think hard so that the clothes and souvenirs she brought did not exceed 32 kilograms.
Although she had reduced her luggage since leaving, she had to unpack her suitcase during weighing. One package of clothes had to be removed because her suitcase weighed more than 32 kilograms. Sumiarsih then listed what souvenirs she brought.
"There are 6 kilograms of chocolate, and 2 kilograms of dates. 5 Muslim clothes were bought in Madinah. 6 were bought here in Kakiyah. One dozen prayer mats, and 2 boxes of oil," he said. The chocolate that he brought was planned to be given to his grandson who is at the boarding school. Meanwhile, the clothes and prayer mats are for the neighbors and relatives. "I will give them to everyone who prays for me," he said.
This service will be tested to transport pilgrims between Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafah during this year's Hajj pilgrimage.
