Dream - PT Piaggio Indonesia introduces the line of electric Vespa in Indonesia, named Vespa Elettrica. This Italian electric motorcycle is priced quite fantastically, almost Rp200 million, which is Rp198 million (OTR DKI Jakarta)

Interestingly, Indonesia is the first country in the Asia Pacific region to receive the Vespa Elettrica.

Ayu added that Piaggio Indonesia provides the widest opportunity for consumers in Indonesia to experience the premium and eco-friendly driving experience of Vespa Elettrica, which is claimed to be unmatched by other two-wheeled electric vehicles through test-ride activities.

Dream had the opportunity to briefly test ride the Vespa Elettrica around the Plaza Senayan area in a special media test ride session.

The electric motorcycle, which has a design similar to the Vespa Sprint, is said to have several main advantages, such as three driving modes, namely Eco, Power, and Reverse.

In Eco mode, the Vespa Elettrica can travel up to 100 km at a speed of up to 40 km/h. Meanwhile, in POWER mode, this electric motorcycle can travel a maximum distance of 70 km, at a speed of 60-70 km/h.

In addition, there is a reverse mode that can make it easier for users to reverse or park.

The Vespa Elettrica is connected to the VESPA MIA system, which allows users to connect their smartphones to the vehicle via Bluetooth.

There is also a 4.3-inch digital panel that displays various information, such as speed, current driving mode, remaining distance, and battery level.

The Power Unit inside the Vespa Elettrica is capable of delivering a power output of 3.6 kW and a peak power of 4 kW, with a torque of 200 Nm.

The weight of the Vespa Elettrica is 130 kg (including the battery). The 25 kg battery is certified IP65, making it resistant to dust and low-pressure water.

Unlike 4-stroke gasoline Vespa scooters that have a side stand as a switch off to turn off the engine, the Vespa Elettrica is not equipped with a side stand. So, if the side stand is lowered, the engine will automatically turn off.

This battery is covered by a 3-year warranty from PT Piaggio Indonesia. They also claim that the quality of this battery is very good, so it can be charged up to 1000 full cycles and still maintain its capacity at 80% and continue to function properly.

The standard time required for a full charge of this electric motorcycle is 4 to 8 hours, with a voltage of 220 V.
