Global Collaboration, IHC Pertamina Central Hospital Synergizes with Mayo Clinic Network

Dream - PT Pertamina Bina Medika – Indonesia Healthcare Corporation (IHC) through Pertamina Central Hospital (RSPP) announced the synergy between RSPP Jakarta and Mayo Clinic, a global healthcare organization, on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

Through this synergy, RSPP officially becomes part of the Mayo Clinic Care Network (MCCN).

The Public Announcement event was held at the Graha RSPP Building, Jakarta. It was attended by the Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises I Pahala Nugraha Mansury, Deputy Minister of Health Prof.dr.Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Sp.PD-KEMD, Ph.D, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, the Director of Strategy, Portfolio, and Business Development of PT Pertamina (Persero) Salyadi Saputra and IHC Shareholders, Professors and Health Experts in the country, consumers and stakeholders of IHC, as well as the Mayo Clinic International team were also present.

IHC RSPP becomes the first member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network from Indonesia. By collaborating with global healthcare institutions, IHC RSPP will gain access to share knowledge and expertise from the Mayo Clinic team.

"The collaboration between Mayo Clinic and RSPP demonstrates Indonesia's commitment to improving internationally standardized healthcare services. We appreciate this effort, especially since it is carried out by RSPP, which is a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) institution, so it can fulfill the Government's mandate to realize national health resilience," said the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir, in writing.

Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises I Pahala Nugraha Mansury added that they hope the collaboration between IHC and Mayo Clinic will continue, including through the Bali International Hospital. "We believe that IHC is a pioneer in realizing national health resilience and the national health ecosystem," he said.

Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Prof.dr.Dante Saksono Harbuwono, Sp.PD-KEMD, Ph.D added that with this collaboration, RSPP is expected to improve clinical services to the community. As part of the MCCN network, RSPP will have access to global health science developments, including specific and rare cases.

"Through this synergy, RSPP healthcare professionals can enhance their clinical expertise. This will be a valuable asset for RSPP in particular and for the healthcare industry in Indonesia in general," said Dante.

International Scale

The President Director of IHC, Dr. Mira Dyah, MARS, added that this synergy will provide benefits for every medical staff at IHC RSPP to enhance their abilities on an international scale. "One of them, the RSPP medical team can conduct teleconferences with healthcare experts from Mayo Clinic," said Dr. Mira.

She believes that through this synergy, they can access the international expertise possessed by Mayo Clinic. It is expected to provide benefits for RSPP service users, including patients and health insurance institutions.

"Another advantage is that our medical staff can interact with Mayo Clinic's expert team, such as cancer specialists, through direct eBoards network to discuss specific health cases for our service needs to patients," said Dr. Mira.

Through collaboration with the Mayo Clinic Care Network, healthcare professionals at IHC RSPP have access to Mayo Clinic's healthcare devices and services, including:

Information devices on various health events, including health protocols, treatment recommendations, and medical references. This data bank can be used anywhere, according to needs.

•eBoards
It is a live broadcast device, namely scheduled video conferences where the RSPP medical team can discuss complex health cases with the Mayo Clinic team, consisting of various fields and expert doctors from the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

•Health Service Consultation
RSPP has access to Mayo Clinic's exceptional experience, including knowledge and sub-specialist experts related to clinical, operational, and business objectives. IHC RSPP staff can also use patient education materials and access to professional development and continuous improvement.
