"If my child died at his superior's house, as a law enforcer, he should inform us, let us know that it was his subordinate. So please don't talk too much, show the CCTV here now," she continued.

Rosti said that the request made the police who came to her house to deliver Brigadier J's body panic. According to her, the police at that time asked her not to corner them. However, Rosti emphasized that she did not corner the police officers.

While angry, Rosti continued to press the police officers who came to tell the true process of Brigadier J's death. If they couldn't provide the real evidence, Rosti asked the police officers to leave her house.

"They immediately sweated profusely because of what I said. My communication with my child is on the phone. Now show my child's phone, then all of our phones were hacked that night. That's what we added with the presence of Hendra Kurniawan's entourage," Rosti added.

Rosti Simanjuntak and her husband, Samuel Hutabarat, who were present as witnesses, took advantage of the moment to express their feelings as parents who have lost their beloved son.

With tears streaming down her face, Rosti couldn't hold back her emotions when directly confronting Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi, expressing all her feelings towards her son's superior.

"With your sadism, with open eyes, you killed my son, you took away what belongs to him, sir," Rosti said in the South Jakarta District Court on November 1, 2022.

Meanwhile, Yoshua's father delivered a message to Sambo, who is also a father to his children. He asked Sambo to switch positions and imagine if he had to lose a child.

"Mr. Ferdy Sambo, let me become you, and you become Mr. Ferdy Sambo," he said.

"With such cruelty, taking my child's life or his child's life forcibly in his own house, how does it feel?" he concluded.

It is known that Ferdy Sambo is charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code as an alternative to Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 point 1 of the Criminal Code.

Ferdy Sambo is also accused of obstructing the investigation in the case of Yosua's murder. Ferdy Sambo is charged under Law No. 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and the Criminal Code.

Mother of Brigadier J in Front of Ferdy Sambo: Only God Has the Right to Take Our Child's Life

Dream - Mother of Brigadier J, Rosti Simanjuntak, cried while testifying in the case of her son's murder by defendants Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi. In front of Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi, Rosti reminded them that they have no right to take her son's life.

"Our hearts are shattered, Mom, hearing that my son, in a healthy condition, with open eyes, in a prostration position, had his life taken away, as a creation of God who, as far as we know, had a victorious faith," said Rosti during the trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

Rosti never expected that her son, whom she always prayed for his safety, would die at the hands of his commander.

"Only God has the right to decide on a child's life, but this is his own superior, his own commander, who couldn't protect and cruelly ended my child's life," she added.

Rosti admitted that she always advised her son to respect anyone he met in a foreign land. For her, Brigadier J was a child who always followed her advice.

"Because we Batak people have a principle, wherever you go, whoever you meet, whoever replaces your parents there, my child followed all the teachings, advice, and suggestions from his mother," she said.

To the judge, Rosti assured that her son always held fast to these principles. She believed that Brigadier J behaved well towards his parents and superiors.

"Because every day I try to communicate with this child to always do his best, never let your superiors doubt you," said Rosti.

"My child said, 'I'm ready, Mom, I'm good. The important thing is that you're safe and I'm safe working here. I'm doing well working here, Mom.' But unexpectedly, my well-behaved child had to end up in the hands of his superior FS, the superior he respected, it's sad, Sir.
