When Brigadier J's Family Asks Putri Candrawathi to Remove Her Mask: Who Knows It's Not Ibu Putri

Dream - Aunt Brigadier J, Rohani Simanjuntak, asked the judge to have the defendant Putri Candrawathi remove her mask in the trial held at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. 

She reasoned that she didn't know Putri Candrawathi all this time. Rohani even stood up while making her request in the trial. 

"Sir, please, I beg you, we have never known Putri or Mr. Sambo, please remove the mask," said Rohani.

Rohani suspected that the masked woman in the trial was not Ferdy Sambo's wife. "Who knows it's not Ibu Putri, because in the media it's not Ibu Putri like that," said Rohani.

However, the request was rejected by the Chairman of the Panel of Judges, Wahyu Iman Santosa. Because previously, Brigadier J's father had also asked Putri Candrawathi to remove her mask during the trial.

"I apologize, witness," said Judge Wahyu.

"Just once, just once because all this time," Rohani replied.

"It has been represented by the parents, ma'am," Judge Wahyu said.

Dream - There was an interesting moment during the continuation of the trial of the planned murder case involving Brigadier J with defendants Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi. Brigadier J's father, Samuel Hutabarat, asked the two defendants to remove their masks.

Samuel made the request to the Panel of Judges when the Public Prosecutor asked if he recognized Sambo and Putri in the photos or videos. 

"Is it true that the person in the photos or videos is the defendant Ferdy Sambo, and is it also true that the person is the defendant Putri Candrawathi?" asked the Public Prosecutor.

"Your Honor, with your permission, please remove the masks so I can recognize them," said Samuel to the Panel of Judges at the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel) on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

"Defendants, please remove your masks," said the Chief Judge.

After Sambo and Putri removed their masks, both Samuel and his wife, Rosti Simanjuntak, recognized the two figures as Sambo and Putri, who were their son's superiors in the Bhayangkara Corps.

It is known that today's continuation of the trial combines two defendant trials involving Ferdy Sambo and Putri Candrawathi, with 12 witnesses from Brigadier J's family present.

Putri Candrawathi Apologizes, Brigadier J's Mother Feels Ashamed

Dream - Putri Candrawathi expressed her apologies to Brigadier J's parents during the trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

Putri, who is now a defendant, said she mourned the death of Nofriansyah Yoshua Hutabarat to Samuel Hutabarat and Rosti Simanjuntak, the parents of the deceased who was Ferdy Sambo's aide.

"With your permission, allow me on behalf of the family to express condolences to the mother and father, Samuel Hutabarat, and the family for the passing of Brigadier Yosua, and may the deceased be given the best place by God Almighty," said Putri.

The woman, dressed in all black, said that the incident that had occurred was the will of God Almighty.

"Mother and father, Samuel Hutabarat and family, as human beings, we can only return each path of our lives, and it is the will of God Almighty," she said.

Putri also shed tears of regret, but Rosti Simanjuntak seemed reluctant to look at Putri.

"Both Mr. Ferdy Sambo and I never wanted an incident like this to happen in our family life. It brings pain to my heart and my family," said Putri with a trembling voice.

Putri, who is also a mother, said she could understand what Rosti and Samuel felt when they lost their child. 

"As a mother myself, I can feel the grief that a mother feels for her child. From the deepest part of my heart, I apologize to Yosua's mother and family for this incident," she said.

Putri stated that she would follow the ongoing legal process as a form of responsibility. She hoped that the trial would reveal the events that had occurred.

"I am ready to go through this trial sincerely, with all my heart. So that all the events that have occurred can be revealed," said Putri, ending her statement.
