Story of Women Can 'Enter and Exit' the Supernatural World of Bunian Freely, Even Having Adopted Family

Bunian is a type of supernatural creature believed by the Minangkabau and Malay communities in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and West Malaysia.

Based on circulating myths, Bunian people are mystical in nature, so they can only be seen by certain people.

Some people believe that Bunian people live in the deep forests or hills far from human settlements.

However, Raudatul Hadawiyah had a different experience. This Malaysian woman often enters and exits the world of Bunian people through dreams.

In fact, the 27-year-old woman claimed to have an adopted family of Bunian people consisting of four daughters.

This mother of two said she had been 'entering and exiting' the Bunian world for a long time. In her dreams, the Bunian world is located in different places every night.

"Since I was a teenager, I often dreamt of being in the Bunian world but in different places. But at that time, I considered it just a normal dream," she said.

However, recently she realized that her dreams were not ordinary dreams. After receiving Islamic treatment, she was told that it was not a disturbance but an ability to see the supernatural world through dreams.

Although she wants to know the meaning of her dreams, Raudatul admitted that she is afraid to search for the locations described in them.

According to Raudatul, the 'people' she encounters in her dreams are never the same. They behave normally, looking at Raudatul and making eye contact when they pass by each other.

"We never talk because I feel like I'm just visiting that village.

"When serving guests, they accompany me on walks to see the village area. I never see their faces, only their human-like forms," she explained.

Raudatul said that the Bunian village she visits in her dreams appears gloomy, dark, and misty.

"Their houses are all made of wood, like the houses of people from ancient times," she said while describing everything she saw in her dream wearing beautiful songket cloth.

In addition to often experiencing dreams of living with Bunian people, Raudatul can also sense the presence of supernatural objects in the real world. However, all she sees is just black shadows.

"I don't see their true appearance. One day, in the forest near my house, there was a figure that I thought was a piece of wood. Upon closer inspection, it had a human-like body but no face.

"At that time, the figure was sitting and wanted to take something as if it was coming out of its area. We also made eye contact, but it had no face," she added.

Raudatul said that she received many signs through dreams related to her pregnancy, such as the gender and name of her child.

When she was pregnant with her first child, Raudatul already knew the gender before an ultrasound scan. The name of her first child also came from a dream.

"At that time, I dreamt of being near the sea, the water was clear, and there was a stone. Then I met someone who resembled my nephew.

"He was the one who gave the name to my first child. When the sea suddenly rose, he also saved me," she said.

Similarly, when she was pregnant with her second child, Raudatul dreamt of having a baby girl who would be active and intelligent.

After receiving treatment from several religious scholars, Raudatul realized that what she experienced was not a disturbance but a 'heritage' from her father's family.

However, the unique ability to enter the Bunian world is not something bad, and it will not 'heal' even with treatment.

Thanks to her special ability, Raudatul can practice traditional healing methods.

"But I'm still not sure about doing it. The religious scholars only advised me to be careful because they are worried that I might faint while in a dream," she concluded.
