Bupati Wonogiri Provides 294 N Max Motorcycles to Village Chiefs and Sub-District Heads, Spending Rp9.4 Billion

Dream - Village chiefs and sub-district heads in Wonogiri, Central Java, received new official vehicles in the form of Yamaha NMax motorcycles handed over by Regent Joko Sutopo on Monday, April 3, 2023.

Quoted from Solopos.com, Wonogiri Regional Secretary (Sekda), Haryono, stated that the procurement of new official motorcycles for village chiefs/sub-district heads cost Rp9.4 billion.

Each village chief/sub-district head received one unit of official vehicle. 113 official vehicles have been issued motor vehicle license plates (TNKB), while the other 181 vehicles are still in the process of completing the production of motor vehicle license plates (TNKB).

Meanwhile, the Wonogiri Regency Government plans to hand over 294 used official motorcycles of village chiefs/sub-district heads to each village secretary or carik in Wonogiri.

Regent Joko Sutopo stated that village chiefs and sub-district heads received new motorcycles because the old official vehicles were already old, namely Honda Supra 125 mopeds that were over 12 years old.

Therefore, the previous official vehicles were deemed eligible to be replaced with new motorcycles, namely the 2023 Yamaha Nmax.

Meanwhile, the old official vehicles of village chiefs and sub-district heads in Wonogiri will be assessed for their usage. There are three options: donated to the village government, returned to the Wonogiri Regency Government, or handed over to the village secretary (sekdes).

"In the next one or two weeks, we will assess it first. We will see how beneficial it is. It is likely to be handed over to the sekdes," said Joko Sutopo quoted from Solopos.com on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

He hopes that after receiving the new official vehicles, the performance of village chiefs and sub-district heads in Wonogiri will be better and optimal. Joko reminded them to pay attention to the Village Development Index (IDM), which is an indicator of the performance of village chiefs/areas.

The plan to hand over the old official vehicles of village chiefs to the village secretary is welcomed by the Village Secretary (Sekdes) of Semagar, Girimarto Sub-District, Wonogiri, Tarmo. According to him, the motorcycle will help mobility in village government work.

He stated that Kades Semagar, Tiyo, did not mind it. "After the Village Chief received the new official vehicle, he asked me to bring the old official vehicle," said Tarmo.
