Cassation Granted, Ferdy Sambo's Death Sentence Overturned

Previously, the Supreme Court had received Ferdy Sambo's cassation file, the defendant in the planned murder case of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadir J. It was another step to escape from the death penalty.

MA spokesperson, Suharto, confirmed that they had received the Cassation file from Ferdy Sambo. So far, the team has studied the completeness of the case file.

"The Supreme Court has received Ferdy Sambo's cassation file and others and has examined its completeness," said Suharto to journalists, Friday, June 23, 2023.

According to Suharto, they are currently processing the registration of Ferdy Sambo's cassation case for further trial. After that, the Supreme Court will propose a circulation request for the case.

"Only later will a new panel be appointed, distributed to a new panel, then the panel will read the cassation file," explained Suharto.
