Facts about the Murder of the Village Head in Banten Suspected of Jealousy

Dream - Residents of Serang Regency, Banten, were shocked by the murder case of the Village Head (Kades) of Curonggong, Padarincang District, allegedly injected by a mantri named S, on Sunday, March 12, 2023.

The local residents were surprised because Salamunasir, the village head, was known as a good and friendly person to the people.

Evidence of Medicine Bottle

The police found several pieces of evidence at the location where the village head was killed after being injected by the mantri, one of which was a bottle of Sidiandryl Diphenhydramine medicine.

It is strongly suspected that the liquid was injected by mantri S into Salamunasir's body, causing his death.

"The evidence we collected includes a bottle of liquid medicine with the brand Sidiandryl Diphenhydramine, a syringe, a black bag, a motorcycle, clothes, and pants used by the reporter. We are still sending letters to experts, so the experts will explain," said Wakapolresta Serkot, AKBP Hujra Soumena, as quoted from Liputan6.com, Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

Perpetrator Injected Liquid into Victim's Back

Based on the information, the perpetrator S came to the victim's house around 1:00 PM. Then a fight broke out between the perpetrator and the victim.

Suddenly, the perpetrator injected some liquid into Salamunasir's left back. Not long after, the victim experienced shortness of breath and convulsions.

Subsequently, the victim was taken to the Padarincang Community Health Center by residents, family, and the perpetrator S. Salamunasir was then referred to RSUD Banten for further treatment.

The perpetrator, who accompanied to RSUD Banten, was then picked up by the investigators of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Serkot Police to be questioned further.

"While at the hospital, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit assigned members to go there, and when the members arrived at the hospital, coincidentally the suspect was at the hospital, so he was immediately secured," he said.

Suspected Motive of Jealousy

Regarding the motive, the perpetrator is allegedly emotional after seeing photos of the victim in his wife's cellphone gallery.

The perpetrator's lawyer, Yayan Elang, mentioned that the victim had approached his client's wife several times.

S then visited the victim's house to inquire about the intentions of the village head in approaching his wife, who works as a village midwife.

However, the motive for the fight and injection is still being investigated by the police, as it needs to match the statements with the available evidence.

This includes waiting for the autopsy results and the examination of the victim's blood samples, which will be examined by the forensic medical team to determine the cause of Salamunasir's death.

"There are samples taken from the victim's body to determine the cause of death, whether it is indeed because of this medicine or not," he explained.

Mantri Becomes a Suspect

The police have named S as a suspect in the murder of Salamunasir and he has been detained.
