Figure of the Regent of the Sula Islands who Went Viral for Being Asked for Debt in the Market, Shouted at by Traders for Not Paying for 2 Years

Dream - The Regent of the Sula Islands, Fifian Adeningsih Mus, went viral on social media when being asked for debt by a trader in the traditional market.

In a video uploaded on Instagram account @medsoszone, a trader in the Sula Islands Regency market, North Maluku, allegedly shouted at the regent who was monitoring the stock and price developments ahead of Eid al-Fitr 2023.

The trader went berserk and accused the regent of not paying the debt for two years. "Where is your promise?" shouted the trader, asking the regent to fulfill his promise.

The actions of the trader became a spectacle for other traders and market visitors. He was angry and accused Fifian Adeningsih Mus of not fulfilling the promise to settle the debt.

The trader even claimed to have been waiting for two years for the promise to be fulfilled, but there are no signs of resolution.

"I got a position as the head of the department, I brought a receipt there, one tola, after that one tola, ancestor. It's too painful for me to demand payment for more than two years, and you just came to the market today," said the woman.

"You made me wait for more than two years, face-to-face promise with me, God willing, in 2022, where are your promises. Call me directly to the security, fight me at the level, sweet promises until I got your phone number, two months later the phone number was blocked," she shouted again.

Unsurprisingly, the angry actions of the market trader towards the regent immediately caught public attention and went viral on social media. Many were curious about the identity of the regent who was asked for debt.

The video went viral on social media. However, Fifian has not provided any clarification regarding the allegations.

Fifian started her political career with the Golkar Party. Then in June 2022, she joined the PDIP Party.

She was born in Gela, North Taliabu, on September 8, 1984, and served as the Regent of the Sula Islands for the period 2021-2024.

Before serving as the Regent, Fifian had served as the Head of the Education Agency of Taliabu Island District.

Fifian Adeningsih Mus is the only daughter of Muhammad Taher Mus. Her three brothers also serve as Regents in the North Maluku Provincial Government.

The graduate of the Law Faculty of Ibnu Khaldun University Bogor had previously served as the Head of the Social Agency.

Then the Head of the ESDM Agency, and the Head of the Education Agency of Taliabu Island District before finally being elected as the Regent of the Sula Islands.
