Dream - A woman shared her story of accidentally swallowing a pin while fixing her hijab. She felt like something was poking her throat.

According to the mStar website, the woman named Nur Dhaniyah Aleeya Ramzi was initially resting. She then fixed her hijab while biting a pin.

"While fixing my scarf, I bit a pin. It has been my habit to do so. But this time I wasn't lucky. I didn't realize I was biting the pin. Suddenly I swallowed it," she said.

During the incident, she panicked and tried to seek help. Hearing her screams, her colleagues came to see what was happening.

She was then taken to the nearest hospital to have the object removed immediately.

"At that time, I was very panicked. I shouted for help and my friends came and asked me what happened. I told them what happened and they took me to the nearest hospital," she said.

However, she was later referred to the best hospital in Malaysia for further treatment.

That night, the doctor performed an endoscopy procedure to see where the pin was lodged.

"I was transferred to another hospital. The same night, the doctor performed an endoscopy procedure. The procedure was done while I was conscious. It was very painful and the doctor said the next day I would be fully anesthetized," she added.

It turns out the pin had already entered deep into her large intestine. The doctor did not recommend surgery because the risks were much greater.

She was then given medication to facilitate digestion. Every day, the doctor came to check if the pin had come out when she had a bowel movement.

When checked, the pin was still there. She felt anxious and thought her life was going to end. The pin also felt like it was stabbing her body, making it difficult for her to sleep soundly.

After a few days, the doctor performed another examination and luckily the object was no longer there. She was very grateful that the pin had finally come out of her body.

The video shared on TikTok went viral. Netizens advised against doing such a thing again because it is truly dangerous.

"My advice is, please never bite a pin. Cases like this have often occurred, according to the doctor at the hospital where I was treated," wrote a netizen.
