Garuda Indonesia Prepares 1.2 Million Seats for Eid 2023, Check Flight Rates Here

Dream - Garuda Indonesia airline, along with its subsidiary Citilink, is preparing 1.2 million seats for the Eid 2023 holiday travel period.

Out of that number, Garuda Indonesia will provide 518,856 seats with various aircraft, including Airbus A330-900, Airbus A330-300, and Boeing 777-300ER.

Meanwhile, Citilink will prepare 722,080 seats, which will be served with Airbus A320-200 fleet.

Garuda Indonesia's President Director, Irfan Setiaputra, said that during Eid 2023, Garuda Indonesia ticket prices will remain in accordance with the applicable regulations, referring to the upper limit tariff (TBA) regulations that have been set.

Ticket Prices Starting from IDR 700,000

Garuda Indonesia also offers several attractive added-value during the peak season, such as the Lebaran ke Jakarta program.

"With prices starting from IDR 700,000 for one-way flights from April 13 to May 1, 2023, and extra baggage offers with discounts up to 80 percent, as well as various other attractive offers," explained Irfan.

Irfan estimated that the peak of the holiday travel period in Eid 2023 will occur on April 20, and the peak of the return travel period will occur on April 26.

Garuda Indonesia will continue to monitor the movement of passengers and prepare various anticipatory measures if there is an increase in passenger movement during Eid 2023.

"We project that during this year's holiday travel period, there will be a passenger traffic growth of around 15-20 percent compared to the early period of the year," said Irfan.

Optimized Routes

Irfan also explained that the availability of Garuda Indonesia Group's flight seats during this year's Eid period recorded a significant increase of up to 45 percent compared to the peak season period in 2022. 

Garuda Indonesia's flight capacity will be optimized on several routes with high demand, including Jakarta - Padang, Jakarta - Semarang, Jakarta - Solo, Jakarta - Yogyakarta, Jakarta - Denpasar.

This step is also synchronized with the increase in international flight frequencies to destinations such as Singapore, Amsterdam, Seoul, and Bangkok.

Garuda Aircraft Now 'Wearing' Mega Mendung Batik

Dream - Garuda Indonesia airline launched a new livery on Thursday, March 2, 2023. The batik-themed livery called "The Beauty of Kembara Angkasa" represents the seven-decade journey of the national flag carrier airline.

In the launch event at Hangar 2 GMF AeroAsia, the A330-900 Neo aircraft with registration number PK GPZ was seen sporting this new livery. This thematic livery will serve various domestic and international flight routes throughout 2023.

This livery is the work of Rainhard Susanto. It features four cloud colors representing the Garuda colors on the wings and Mega Mendung batik. The aircraft body also bears the number 74. This livery symbolizes the philosophy of community support and trust, which fuels Garuda Indonesia's contribution to the nation.

"Through this thematic livery, we hope to support and promote the creativity of our nation's children, as well as showcase the beauty of Indonesia's potential and encourage the creativity of the younger generation to continue creating," said Garuda Indonesia's President Director, Irfan Setiaputra.
