It was reported that the woman held a pink container while sitting with her hands raised to attract sympathy from the public.

Because of her actions, the woman, who was around 50 years old, was arrested in an operation carried out by the local police. This was based on public complaints.

“The suspect was caught trying to gain sympathy at the location by asking for money from the public. The suspect was then arrested and a search of her bag found that she was carrying around RM240,” the police said in a statement.

The police said that the investigation also found that the suspect did not have valid travel documents. Therefore, this case is being investigated in accordance with applicable regulations.
