This ranking was given by Ticketgum after evaluating 140 stadiums worldwide using various aspects.

The assessment aspects include seating capacity, average goals scored, average attendance per month, Google ratings, global searches for the stadium, and the amount of attention received on social media.

Based on these evaluations, GBK Main Stadium occupies the eighth position with a score of 71.91. This score puts GBK ahead of Santiago Bernabeu, which is ranked ninth with a score of 71.91.

GBK is a stadium that Indonesians take pride in. It was built in 1960 and underwent renovation from 2016 to 2018 when it became a venue for the Asian Games.

Meanwhile, the first place in the list is occupied by the Mineirao Stadium in Brazil, which is considered the best according to Ticketgum. This stadium has a score of 83.40.

For information, GBK, formerly known as Senayan Main Stadium, was built after Indonesia was chosen as the host of the 1958 Asian Games.

After that, the first President of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno, initiated the construction of the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, which began on February 8, 1960, and was completed on July 21, 1962.

Friederich Silaban was the architect of the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. The Prime Minister of the Soviet Union, Nikita Khrushchev, attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

Initially, the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium had a seating capacity of 110,000 spectators. However, due to renovations, the number of seats has been reduced to 88,000.
