Story of Ibrahim Richmond, 15 Years as a Pastor, Now Converts to Islam and Invited by King Salman for Hajj

Dream - The most influential pastor in South Africa, Ibrahim Richmond, converted to Islam and was invited to perform the Hajj pilgrimage by King Salman.

In a video uploaded on the Twitter account @Islamabadies, Richmond shared the reasons for deciding to become a Muslim after having several dreams about Islam.

The post showed Richmond wearing ihram clothing, looking touched, and prostrating in gratitude upon stepping foot on the Holy Land for the first time.

"Pastor Ibrahim Richmond is a South African convert with 100,000 followers, he went on Hajj this year," the account wrote.

Richmond has been a pastor for 15 years with thousands of congregants. His journey to conversion started with a recurring dream he had.

"I heard a voice in my dream saying 'Tell your people (congregants) to wear white clothes (Muslims)'. The dream kept recurring, getting stronger, and then I embraced Islam," said Richmond.

Richmond then realized that the white clothing is a symbol of the ihram clothing worn by Muslims during the Hajj pilgrimage.

He then shared his dream with his congregants, and at the next gathering, they all wore white clothing. Richmond and his congregants then embraced Islam.

"Three months ago, I recited the Shahada in the church, and the congregants present also recited the Shahada. Thousands of voices repeated the Shahada with me, and we were happy," expressed Richmond.
