Governor of Lampung to Immediately Repair 14 Roads After Being Criticized by TikToker

"There are many government projects in Lampung that are abandoned. For example, Kota Baru, I haven't heard any news about it since I was in elementary school," said Bima.

In response to this, Governor Arinal stated that he will repair 14 roads in his province in 2023.

"The Lampung Provincial Government ensures that several roads in Lampung Province will be repaired in 2023," he wrote in his Instagram Story @arinal_djunaidi.

The roads that will be repaired are:

Highlighting the Poor Infrastructure in Lampung

The first issue he highlighted was the limited infrastructure. He accused many government projects in Lampung of being abandoned.

"There are many government projects in Lampung that are abandoned. For example, Kota Baru, I haven't heard any news about it since I was in elementary school," he said.

In addition, he also mentioned the poor condition of roads in Lampung and the poor road construction.

Discussing the Education Issue in Lampung

In his video, he discussed the education system in Lampung, which he considered to be weak. According to him, there are still many irregularities in the student selection system carried out by certain individuals.

He stated that this happened because of corruption, inefficient bureaucracy, and weak law enforcement.

"Corruption is everywhere, inefficient bureaucracy, and very weak law enforcement," he said.

Revealing Lampung's Dependence on the Agricultural Sector

He mentioned that Lampung's economy is still highly dependent on the agricultural sector. However, it cannot be denied that Lampung is one of the provinces that produces a lot of agricultural products.

"Like corn, rice, sticky rice, and others, and its contribution to Lampung itself is more than 40%, you can check it on the BI website, and that's the statistics and so on," he explained.

However, he believes that the agricultural sector is vulnerable and unstable, causing prices to fluctuate unpredictably.

According to Lampungpro, Ginda Ansori, an Advocate and Legal Advisor at the Law Office of Gindha Ansori Wayka-Thamaroni Usman & Rekan, reported the TikTok account Awbimax Reborn to the Lampung Regional Police. The video uploaded by Bima was considered to defame Lampung Province.

As a Lampung resident, Ginda objected to the content of Bima's video. He believed that Bima was building public opinion without conducting proper research.

Receiving Protection from Australia

Regarding the report against Bima due to his viral video on social media, Bima applied for a Protection Visa from the Australian government. In one of his TikTok videos, he shared that his application was accepted.

With this application, Bima receives several protections, including permanent residency in Australia, opportunities for studying and working in Australia, access to healthcare services, and even the possibility to apply for citizenship.
