Iftar Schedule April 6, 2023 and How to Spend the Night of Nuzulul Quran

Dream - The 1443 Hijri Ramadan fast has entered its 15th day or the second 10 days. In a few days, Muslims will welcome special days, namely the 17th of Ramadan, which is believed by many scholars to be the time when Allah SWT revealed the Quran (Nuzulul Quran).

Nuzulul Quran is a historic event for the Islamic world. It is believed that on the night of the 17th of Ramadan, the Prophet Muhammad received his first revelation in the Cave of Hira, with the descent of the verses of the Quran in Surah Al-Alaq, verses 1-5, conveyed by the Angel Gabriel.

Commemorating the night of Nuzulul Quran is like reminding us of the importance of appreciating and practicing the values of the Quran in our daily lives.

In addition, it can also motivate Muslims to always read the Quran so that their lives are blessed and in the pleasure of Allah SWT.

So, how do we spend the night of Nuzulul Quran?

Quoted from NU Online, Chairman of PCNU Sumedang, H Sa'dullah, said that there are three ways that a Muslim can spend the night of Nuzulul Quran:

First, it is to consistently read the Quran. In the month of Ramadan, at least one complete recitation of the Quran should be done.

Second, one must increase their itikaf. During itikaf, read the Quran or engage in remembrance (dzikir) and other acts of worship. Finally, increase night prayers and supplications.
