On the Day of Judgment, All Eyes Will Cry, Except for These 3 Eyes That Appear Happy

Dream - Human life in this world is not eternal. In the end, every living creature will experience death. And when everything is dead, that is what is then called the Day of Judgment.

The coming of the Day of Judgment is certain. However, no one knows when the exact time of the judgment will come. So, only Allah SWT knows. Therefore, as humans, we should always be prepared, especially preparing provisions for the hereafter when going through the reckoning process.

Through verses 1 to 16 of Surah Al-Ghashiyah, it is explained that on the Day of Judgment, not all faces will appear fearful. There are some faces that appear cheerful because they are happy with their deeds during their life in this world. They are the ones who will be placed in the high heaven and will attain happiness.

People who Have Sinned in Their Lives but Regret It

In a narration, it is told that there was a person who always pursued desires, struggled, and roamed in places of sin until returning home late at night. When he returned with a drunken body, there was a house where he heard the recitation of the Quran, which says:

"Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient." (QS.Al-Hadid: 16)

Upon arriving home, the person repeated the recitation in his heart. Suddenly, tears flowed and he felt very afraid. He remembered his sinful deeds all this time. Eventually, he changed by filling his life with seeking knowledge, performing righteous deeds, and worshiping Allah SWT. Until finally, he became a great scholar and famous in the world of Sufism in the eleventh century Hijri. That person was Fudhail bin Iyadh.

So, blessed are those who have made mistakes in their lives, but regretted them to the point of shedding tears. Insha Allah, that person will not cry on the Day of Judgment.

Eyes Averted from What Allah SWT Forbids

The eyes that will not cry on the Day of Judgment are the eyes that are averted from things that Allah SWT forbids. In this regard, Prophet Muhammad once told a story about people who will be protected on the Day of Judgment. Out of the seven people, one of them is a person who was tempted to commit sin by a woman, but he refused and said, "I fear Allah."

In the stories of the prophets, Prophet Yusuf is the most fitting example. He refused to commit sin when tempted by Zulaikha. It is people like him who will not cry on the Day of Judgment because their eyes have been averted from something forbidden by Allah SWT.

Eyes That Do Not Sleep in Defending the Religion of Allah SWT

The last type of eyes is the eyes that do not sleep in defending the religion of Allah SWT. They are fighters who always sacrifice for the sake of upholding the religion of Allah SWT. Therefore, on the Day of Judgment, these people will not cry.
