Dream - Good news for Eid al-Fitr 2023 travelers, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk provides a 20 percent discount for the farthest tariff of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

The CEO of Jasa Marga, Subakti Syukur, said that the discount is given to maximize traffic distribution during this year's Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return flow.

"This is to avoid vehicle congestion on certain dates, especially the dates predicted to be the peak of the homecoming and return flow of Eid al-Fitr 1444 H," he said in Jakarta, quoted from Merdeka.com, Thursday, April 6, 2023.

This 20 percent toll tariff discount only applies at two toll gates, namely the Main Cikampek Toll Gate of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards/from the Trans Java direction and the Main Kalihurip Toll Gate of the Cipularang Toll Road towards/from the Bandung direction.

The period of the 20 percent toll tariff discount on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road is from Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 06:00 AM WIB until Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 06:00 AM WIB.

Not only during the homecoming flow, Jasa Marga will also apply a 20 percent toll tariff discount on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road during the return flow period, which is from Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 06:00 AM WIB until Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 06:00 AM WIB.

The 20 percent toll tariff discount for the farthest tariff of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road is as follows: Class I vehicles originally Rp20,000 become Rp16,000, a discount of Rp4,000.

Class II and III vehicles originally Rp30,000 become Rp24,000, a discount of Rp6,000. Meanwhile, for Class IV and V vehicles originally Rp40,000 become Rp32,000, a discount of Rp8,000.

"This discount applies to road users who use electronic money. Therefore, we urge road users to ensure their readiness before traveling, including ensuring sufficient electronic money and fuel balance, as well as ensuring the condition of the vehicle and the driver in optimal condition," said Subakti.

Jasa Marga predicts that the peak of the homecoming flow on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road (Km 66) will occur on H-3 or Wednesday, April 19, 2023, with a total of 138 thousand vehicles or an increase of up to 154 percent compared to normal traffic (54 thousand vehicles) or a 2 percent increase from the peak of the Eid al-Fitr homecoming flow in 2022 (135 thousand vehicles).

Meanwhile, for the peak of the return flow, Jasa Marga predicts it will occur on H+2 or Tuesday, April 25, 2023, with a total of 178 thousand vehicles and an increase of up to 237 percent compared to normal traffic (53 thousand vehicles) or a 5 percent increase from the peak of the Eid al-Fitr return flow in 2022 (170 thousand vehicles).

"Based on this, the discount is not given during the predicted peak of the homecoming and return flow so that traffic can be distributed properly,” said Subakti.
