Sad Story of Father Taking Selfie Alone at the Dining Table Without Children and Wife: Later Also Alone in the Grave

Dream - When children grow up, they will seek their own identity. Some choose to continue their education in other cities, work, or start a family.

As a consequence, children will leave their parents' house. That's when parents feel lonely and miss the times they spent together. 

This father also feels the same way. He took a selfie at the dining table, showing an empty chair where his children used to sit when they lived together.

Quoted from mStar, the father shared the photo in his family's WhatsApp group. It is suspected that all of his children are married or working. He seems to miss the gathering atmosphere from before.

In the screenshot, there are many dishes placed on the table. It is possible that he cooked them himself or bought them from a stall. The atmosphere at home looks very quiet.

What's heartbreaking is that the father wrote about missing his children's childhood.

“I miss the old days when you were still children,” he said.

He also mentioned that he is used to eating alone and even when he dies, there will be no one to accompany him.

“Now I'm used to eating alone. Besides, we will be alone when we're in the grave,” the father wrote, pouring out his feelings.

The post shared on Facebook touched many netizens. Many agreed that parents can never be replaced once they are gone forever.

“Whether we realize it or not, the time when parents are with their children is only 12 years, when they are still children and in school.”

“I really want my parents to live with me. I'm happy to see them when I come back from work. But that's how they are, they miss the village and don't want to live in the city,” wrote a netizen who shared a similar experience.
