Putri Candrawathi Officially Sent to Pondok Bambu Prison

Dream - South Jakarta District Attorney's Office (Kejari) executed Putri Candrawathi to Pondok Bambu Class IIA Prison, East Jakarta today, Thursday, August 24, 2023.

Head of South Jakarta District Attorney's Office, Syarief Sulaeman, said that Putri's placement in the prison is in accordance with the cassation decision from the Supreme Court (MA) which sentenced her to 10 years in prison.

"To Pondok Bambu, starting today according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)," said Syarief through a voice recording received by the media.

Regarding her husband, Ferdy Sambo, Syarief is not willing to talk much. He ensures that the punishment will be carried out according to the applicable decision.

However, Syarief ensures that the latest developments regarding which prison Sambo will serve a life sentence will be transparently conveyed to the public.

Supreme Court Reduces Putri Candrawathi's Sentence to 10 Years in Prison

Appeal Rejected, Putri Candrawathi Still Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison

The wife of former Head of the Police's Internal Affairs Division (Kadiv Propam Polri), Ferdy Sambo, is still sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder case of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J.

At the first level, Putri was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Putri was found guilty of premeditated murder of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat, also known as Brigadier J.

She was found guilty of violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 point 1 of the Criminal Code. The South Jakarta District Court judge also stated that Yosua's murder occurred as a result of the story conveyed by Putri to Sambo.

Ferdy Sambo was found guilty of violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 point 1 of the Criminal Code. Sambo was also found guilty of violating Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 point 1 of the Criminal Code.
