Respect! Bus Driver Drives Slowly and Doesn't Honk Behind Visually Impaired Person Walking Slowly

Some people have limitations in their sensory abilities, so it is only right for us to understand and still respect those who have disabilities. Like what a Transjakarta bus driver did in a video uploaded by the Tiktok account @meisyatasyaa.

A woman behind the window recorded a touching moment when a Transjakarta bus driver drove his bus very slowly and carefully because there was a man in front of him.

The man is a visually impaired person who sells brooms door-to-door. One hand holds a cane to feel the path in front of him, while the other hand carries several brooms on his shoulder.

If he wanted to be faster, the driver could have honked so that the broom seller could move aside and not obstruct the road. However, the driver did not do that because he didn't want to startle the broom seller.

“It's heartwarming to see the Transjakarta driver not honking at all when the visually impaired broom seller is blocking his way,” she wrote in her video.

This moment then went viral on social media and has been viewed more than 1.1 million times. Not only that, the video also received various responses from netizens in the comment section.

Many people admire and praise the bus driver's patience in respecting the elderly man walking in front of him.
