Transjakarta Operates Until 02.00 on New Year's Eve, Check the Routes

Dream - Jakarta residents who will celebrate the New Year's Eve don't have to worry about difficulty finding public transportation to go home. Transjakarta operator announced that they will add services and extend the operation hours of Transjakarta buses.

Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of Transjakarta, Anang Rizkani Noor, said that Transjakarta buses on the New Year's Eve in 2023 will operate until two in the morning. 

This extension of operating hours is in anticipation of the surge in passengers after the New Year's event in 2023 and to adjust with the schedule of activities in the capital city.

"We urge customers to plan their journey according to the designated operational schedule," said Anang in Jakarta, Friday, December 30, 2022.

During the New Year's Eve, Transjakarta plans to add 70 bus units that will start operating one day earlier.

"These additional buses will be on standby. We will focus on crowded areas, such as along Sudirman-Thamrin road, because there will be a Car Free Night there. So, after the event ends, people can immediately get access to fast, safe, and comfortable transportation," said Anang.

Anang added that Transjakarta will close access to the second floor at iconic bus stops such as Bundaran HI and Tosari bus stops in Corridor 1 (Blok M-Kota) during the New Year's Eve.

The closure is intended to allow people to enjoy the series of activities prepared by the Jakarta Provincial Government.

"After arriving at Bundaran HI or Tosari bus stops, people are advised to immediately go to the designated locations so that they don't crowd inside the bus stops," he said.

Here are the routes that have extended operating hours:

1. Ragunan - Monas via Semanggi (6B);

Additional service will operate from 00.30 to 02.00 WIB.

2. Harmoni - Ancol (5H);

Additional service will operate from 22.00 to 02.00 WIB.

3. Pinang Ranti - Bundaran Senayan (9C);

Additional service will operate from 22.00 to 02.00 WIB.

4. Pantai Maju - Balaikota (1A);

Additional service will operate from 22.00 to 02.00 WIB with a shortened route to Pantai Maju - Harmoni.

6. Pancoran - Kampung Rambutan (9D);

Additional service will operate from 22.00 to 02.00 WIB.

KRL Jabodetabek Operates Until 03.00 on New Year's Eve, Check the Schedule

Dream - Residents around Jakarta who want to spend the New Year's Eve in the capital city don't have to worry about difficulty going home. PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) announced that the operating hours of trains in Jabodetabek will be extended until three in the morning on January 1, 2023. 

For this purpose, KCI will add 28 additional trips to all routes for commuter trains.

"We will add a total of 28 additional trips for commuter trains in the Jabodetabek area until 03.00 WIB on January 1, 2023," said Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia, Anne Purba, quoted on Thursday, December 29, 2022.

Anne reminded passengers traveling by train on New Year's Eve that they are prohibited from bringing flammable items such as firecrackers, fireworks, and other items.

"For passengers found carrying such items on the commuter train, they will be confiscated by officers according to the regulations. If the passengers refuse, they will be removed at the nearest station," she said.

Additional Train Trips

Meanwhile, for additional commuter train trips, she mentioned that there will be nine additional trips for the Bogor route. As for the Bekasi route, there will be seven additional trips.

For Tangerang and Rangkasbitung residents, KCI will operate four and two additional commuter line trips, respectively.

"For the Tanjung Priok route, KAI Commuter will operate six additional trips," she said.

In addition, PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia will also deploy service, cleanliness, and security officers until the last scheduled trip for the sake of safety and comfort.

"For the safety and comfort of all, KAI Commuter urges commuter line users to follow the rules and regulations in the stations and during the journey," she explained.
