Dream - Provision is an obligation commanded by Islam in a household. Especially for a husband who has the duty to provide for his wife. Both in terms of material provision, the wife's needs, and spiritual provision. As explained in Surah An-Nisa verse 34: "Men (husbands) are the protectors and maintainers of women (wives) because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other (women), and because they support them from their means."

When a husband is unable to provide for the material and spiritual needs, it can have consequences. In such cases, the wife is allowed to demand a divorce from her husband if she cannot bear it anymore. As explained by Imam Shafi'i, "Both the Qur'an and the Sunnah have explained that the husband's obligation towards his wife is to fulfill her needs."

The consequence is that the husband should not only have sexual relations with his wife but also refuse to give her rights, and not leave her so that she can be taken by someone who is able to fulfill her needs. If this is the case (not fulfilling the wife's rights), then the wife may choose to stay together or separate from him.

To achieve a family like that, both parties must work together, love each other, and know their rights and obligations well. One of them is a husband who is able to provide for his wife, both physically and emotionally. Each party that knows its duties well, God willing, will be able to realize a harmonious family according to the teachings of Islam. This also applies to obtaining righteous offspring.

Because Islam has regulated its sharia on when it is permissible and when it is not permissible for husband and wife to have sexual intercourse. Explained by Imam Ahmad, it is determined that a husband is obligated to have sexual intercourse with his wife every four months. This is because Allah SWT has set that period for former slaves. For a husband who leaves his wife and does not return without any hindrance, then the time limit is six months.

"In addition, Umar bin Khattab established a provision, where at that time many men went to war. However, there was a wife who was sad when her husband left. Umar knew about this and visited a house. Then, he heard a poem about the sad woman. Umar became worried and asked his daughter, Hafsoh. He asked about how long a woman could endure without her husband."

Then Hafsoh answered: "As strong as a woman can be, she can only endure for four months." Since then, Umar immediately ordered his troops who had been in the battlefield for four months to return and meet his wife.
