This is often experienced by children nowadays, when learning through the internet. An example is the story from a teacher who teaches in Malaysia, the owner of TikTok @cikgumaf.

It shows the ability of one of his students named Adel who is in 2nd grade of Elementary School (SD). Adel can speak English apparently just because she often watches English learning videos on Youtube.

"This is Adel, a second-grade elementary school student, but she is said to be good at English. She learned it by herself from YouTube, right Del?" the teacher expressed. "Yes, yes," Adel answered. "Can you answer the teacher's question in English? How did you learn it?" the teacher asked. "I learn English from YouTube," Adel answered."

When asked about the usual shows watched, Adel answered "ABCD" or alphabet and words lessons in English.

From the conversation, it is also known that Adel likes to watch Youtube with English content since kindergarten. In the uploaded video, the teacher also shares an important message about learning. According to him, learning does not always have to be done in school formally and must be paid for.

"So guys, learning does not have to be from the classroom or from school and it doesn't have to cost money, for example, Adel can learn English just from YouTube. Well, use YouTube wisely for learning," message from the teacher.
