An intense incident was shared by the US Coast Guard, in a video on Monday, April 15, 2024. A 35-year-old pregnant mother was evacuated from the Disney Fantasy Cruise ship using a helicopter.

The drone footage shared by the US Coast Guard shows an MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter flying near a ship, and a crew member being lowered with a rope and landing on the deck of the large ship.

More than 10 crew members, some of whom are wearing bright orange vests, then carry the passengers with a portable stretcher and lay them down at the front of the ship.

Coast Guard members were also seen preparing rescue baskets and securing the pregnant woman who was still on the stretcher, then signaling to the helicopter above.

The pregnant mother was then lifted while still in a horizontal position and safely brought into the plane by the cruise ship's attending Doctor members.

The pregnant mother is an American citizen who needs better medical treatment on land. Previously, the Disney Fantasy crew contacted supervisors in San Juan requesting medical evacuation because the ship is in the Atlantic Ocean about 180 miles northwest of Aguadilla.
